Are you really a Kanaka-Maoli?

According to his Majesty King David Kalakaua in his book "The Legends and Myths of Hawaii" [1888] in the APPENDIX on page 527 it states: "Kanaka-maoli, an actual slave."

Therefore, if you claim you are a kanaka-maoli you are a actual slave without "any rights or property" whatsoever, but those privileges granted to you by the masters.
